Erin Defosse - WiMax.com Advisor - Austin Technology Incubator (ATI)

Erin is the Director of the I.T. and Wireless Division of the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI).

He is responsible for identifying promising early stage companies, admitting them into the ATI, and providing them with the necessary operational and strategic business assistance to help them achieve their growth objectives. Erin works closely with companies across a variety of areas in information technology and has a special focus on those that deliver products and/or services using wireless technology. Erin previously spent seven years as the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Isochron Data Corporation, a provider of wireless data communication and enterprise software solutions for the management of remote devices and equipment.

Prior to Isochron, Erin co-founded and was President of Navtrax, a developer of wireless tracking systems, and spent over five years as a spacecraft mission design engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Erin currently serves as Ex-Officio Board Member of Monebo Technologies, Inc. and is the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Austin Wireless Alliance. Erin holds an MBA and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas and an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.

Paul Zukowski - WiMax.com Advisor - Austin Technology Incubator (ATI)

Paul Zukowski is currently a commercialization Program Director for the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas.

As Director Zukowski is running the Institute's $6M Poland Project with Lockheed Martin Corporation focused on transferring methodologies related to building technology business accelerators and starting new companies in Poland. Prior to his work at the IC2 Institute, Zukowski was Vice President of Business Development for Alticast, a leading startup company providing solutions for the interactive TV software market. At Alticast Zukowski's responsibilities included building strategic technology partnerships and global expansion of the company's business in Europe and Asia.

Zukowski also has over 14 years of broad experience with high-tech companies and transforming new business ideas into marketable products and services. This includes development of business strategies, partnership programs and building teams to develop new technology-based business models. His entrance into the Television and broadband data market dates back to 1994 when he was President and co-founder of United States Wireless Cable. This company delivered cable TV and data services using wireless microwave technologies. Since then Mr. Zukowski has become a digital TV industry evangelist and has helped build digital communications business models at various companies ranging from startups to consulting firms. Zukowski received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University.

Tim Sanders - WiMax.com Contributor - President of The Final Mile

Tim brings over 18 years of experience in a diverse range of businesses to bear in solving client problems. Much of this experience was gained with start-up companies. Prior to founding the The Final Mile, he held the General Manager's position of a multi-state fixed wireless ISP. He led the company into its first out of state expansion. He is intimately familiar with the art form of fixed wireless service delivery and understands the technology thoroughly. He is experienced with the complete ramp-up of wireless in a new city, which can include everything from bandwidth sourcing, partnership relations, sales, hub & relay site acquisition and negotiations, media and field technical management. Tim's further expertise includes asset valuation, consultant sales, product management and development, and project coordination and management. As a consultant he specializes in boot camp training for prospective wireless ISP operators, business plan development, financial projections and marketing positioning

Prior to the wireless business, Tim was Director of Technical Operations for a software consulting firm specializing in digital imaging and software products to the auto body industry. His teams served over 8,000 partner customers in less than a two-year period with technical support, verification and distance learning programs. During his tenure it was the highest profit division in the company and provided the capital to help position the company to diversify their product lines.

Tim held several diverse positions with previous companies, primarily in customer service, credit and sales. He studied Mechanical Engineering at NC State University. He serves on several association, trade show and WISP boards, is a prolific author in the space and a frequent speaker at industry symposiums.
