WiMax era can't get here fast enough

I've been lucky enough to give the mighty powerful WiMax technology a spin. After my too-brief test was over, all I wanted to know was when will this be available for everyone?

Now we know: Expect it in Chicago by the end of the year.

If you think Wi-Fi is cool and useful, well, you will want WiMax because it is much better. How so?

First, you likely will be able to connect to the Web no matter where you are: in a car, the middle of a park or your living room. At home, instead of having a cable modem or DSL connection, you can use WiMax for high-speed Internet services.
